New Pacific Northwest aerial photographs

Spring is a fantastic time to fly in the Pacific Northwest and I recently took advantage of a stunningly beautiful day to shoot some new aerial images. These new images are primarily ocean based, many updates to the Gulf Islands, specifically Saturna Island, Mayne Island and Gabriola Island as well as many of the communities heading up the east coast of Vancouver Island including Crofton, Cheminus, Ladysmith, Nanaimo and Qualicum Beach.

I shot my usual artsy images as well,, here’s a selection.

Aerial photos of Colwood and Esquimalt

Colwood and Esquimalt are located just west of Victoria, British Columbia. Esquimalt is home to the Canadian Forces Base Esquimalt. CFB Esquimalt is Canada’s Pacific Coast naval base and home port to Maritime Forces Pacific and Joint Task Force Pacific Headquarters. Colwood has the interesting Esquimalt Lagoon and the well respected Royal Roads University. As well, the historic Fisgard Lighthouse guards the western side of Esquimalt Harbour.

Additional aerial images of Colwood and Esquimalt may be viewed at Colwood and Esquimalt photos.

Some new images from the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Florida. This place is very cool for anyone that grew up during the space race. I had some fun with HDR treatments on many of these images, suits the photos.Launch Complex 26 Countdown Clocks
