The Museum of Flight in Seattle has a very impressive space exploration gallery. Unfortunately they were not able to acquire one of the retired space shuttles but they did manage to snag the NASA Full Fuselage Trainer which was used to train astronauts during the shuttle program. What’s cool about this is that you can actually get aboard a space shuttle and I’ll guarantee you, it’s out of this world. You really don’t realize how big they are until you stand in the payload bay!
Many other original and reproduction space flight items are on display including an International Space Station Destiny Laboratory Mock-up, an Apollo command module and many satellites and capsules from the early days of space exploration.
Plan on spending some time here, you won’t be disappointed.
